Installation Manager

Department: Installation Management
Location: Nashville, TN

50Floor is seeking a team oriented Installation Manager for the Nashville, TN location for our established flooring company. This position ensures the branch is supported by a professional, well trained installation team, as well as an adequate number of compliant sub-contractors to deliver excellent customer service.

The Installation Manager will be in constant communication with Installers and customer throughout the flooring installation process. Candidate must have leadership qualities, strong organization skills and communicate well with various personality types.

Installation Manager Position Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the Installation Department, including recruitment, development and supervision of third party flooring contractors
  • Lead and train installers to provide excellent customer service
  • Manage and hold accountable sub-contractors to company installation standards
  • Route/scheduled installs daily
  • Support the management team by handling customer concerns promptly using good judgement
  • Visit several new installer’s initial installation jobs and proactively visit installer’s job sites to inspect work quality
  • Maintain order status daily and update company software with pertinent data
  • Analyze business results then develop and execute action plans for improvement
  • Perform other functions as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction or installer retention

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Great attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Must work well with limited direction using independent judgement
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and decisiveness with diplomacy


  • Management experience with strong leadership skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with diverse flooring products and installation process (hardwood, carpet, tile, laminate, etc.) preferred
  • Knowledge of local competitors within the industry helpful
  • Ability to work a five day work week, including Saturdays. Additional days may be required based on volume and seasonality, in addition to the flexibility to work afternoon, evening, and weekend hours.
